Energy-as-a-Service: Power Without CapEx
An operational primer on how EaaS converts capital expense into a predictable per-kWh subscription.
By Tratou Editorial
Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) inverts the traditional power equation. Instead of purchasing, fuelling and maintaining a generator, customers subscribe to delivered electricity — measured in kilowatt-hours and billed per cycle. Tratou Energy owns and operates the MBESS fleet; the customer simply receives clean, reliable power on-site.
The model has three commercial advantages: zero capital expenditure, predictable per-kWh pricing, and complete operational outsourcing. The MBESS arrives charged, gets cycled on-site, and is swapped or recharged on a schedule defined by the customer's load profile. The result is grid-quality power, anywhere, billed like a utility.
